Munsters
A Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) style ofrenda /shadowbox tribute to the Munster actors who have since passed away. The illustration are prints of my original drawings. The altar features paper flowers, a stone skull and candles.
Ofendas are an essential part of the Day of the Dead celebrations. The word ofrenda means offering in Spanish. They are also called altares or altars, but they are not for worshiping. Ofrendas are set up to remember and honor the memory of their ancestors. I have taken to making these ofrendas for iconic actors and famous people who inspire me.
